This event is open to young people (16 – 24 yrs) from school leavers to recent graduates looking for a fulfilling and rewarding career.

Lydia Heywood, Equine Development Executive is not only a fantastic employee progressing her career at Howden, she’s also a hugely successful event rider and the founder of Cool Ridings, a charity which aims to increase diversity in equestrian sport by supporting and celebrating people from all backgrounds so they can succeed and thrive.
A packed agenda to help you kick start your career
The day will include a variety of sessions to highlight the types of jobs that exist in the world of insurance, the different paths available to kick start your career journey (such as work placements, apprenticeships and graduate programmes) and the skills you need to get started in a sector that solves real world challenges.
Lydia will be joined by speakers from Howden and partner organisations who will share their experiences and stories about their own career journeys in the world of insurance. The day will also include interactive skills workshops, where you can pick up tips and advice and a mini careers fair so you can ask questions to industry experts.
The Chartered Insurance Institute (CII) will also be in attendance supporting with financial awareness.
Individuals and schools can register here by no later than 29th September for a fun packed day which includes a behind the scenes tour of Ascot and delicious food.
