2.0 Overview

  
  
Users with single sign-on (SSO) capability can log in using the existing Howden SSO framework by navigating to My Apps as outlined in section 2.1. If you don’t have SSO enabled, please refer to section 2.2 of the guide for detailed instructions on logging in securely. All users will be asked to provide personal information for security purposes, as set out in section 2.3.

2.1 SSO users

  
  

Account activation and log-in

  • If you have SSO access, you’ll need to activate your Shareworks account here.
  
  
  • SSO users can also access Shareworks from the Shareworks Morgan Stanley tile on My Apps via this link. 
  
  
  • Employees who are not on the main Howden domain will need to select the Hyperion Insurance Group organisation to view the Shareworks tile. To change your domain, select the Organisations network icon from the top-right of the screen within My Apps.
  
  
  • Click the icon circled above to change your network and select Hyperion Insurance Group to see the Shareworks tile.
     
  • Once you’ve successfully activated your account, you’ll be able to access Shareworks directly using this link. You can also continue to log in via the Shareworks tile on My Apps.

2.2 Non SSO users

  
  

Activation and log-in

Non SSO users will be sent a Morgan Stanley at Work notification from notifications@mail.morganstanleyatwork.com containing an activation link. Follow the steps below to activate your account and complete the account registration.

If you don't receive an email with your activation link within 24 hours, please contact shares@howdengrp.com.
  
  

Activation email

  • By selecting Activate Now you'll be taken to the Shareworks website.
  
  
  • You'll be required to enter your surname and date of birth. This data is requested to ensure the email has gone to the correct user.
     
  • Should you have any issues activating your account, please contact shares@howdengroup.com.
Once verified, you will be asked to create a username and password for your Shareworks account.
  
  

Two-factor authentication is required to access Shareworks

To register for two-factor authentication, download Microsoft Authenticator on your mobile phone and scan the provided barcode. Further guidance on how to set up Microsoft Authenticator can be found here.
  • The authenticator will provide you with a temporary six-digit code. This code is time restricted and will refresh every 30 seconds. You’ll need to enter the six-digit code every time you log into the Shareworks platform.
     
  • After creating your account, you’ll be given a recovery code which can be used to recover your account in the event you lose your login details. Should you have any difficulties recovering your account, contact shares@howdengrp.com to reset your login details.
     
  • After completing your account registration, you can access Shareworks directly via the Shareworks website.

2.3 Details on first log in

  
  
When you first log in, you’ll be asked to provide personal contact details including your personal phone number and email address and to complete some security questions. You’re required to populate this information to access the system. The details provided will serve as a means for account recovery if needed. 

It's important to note that all share-related correspondence from Howden will continue to be directed to your registered shareholder email address, which is likely to be your Howden email address. You’ll also be asked to select a preferred language in which to view the system. 
You’ll also be asked to choose some security questions and answers.
Your Shareworks account will then be activated, and you’ll receive an email to notify you that changes have been made to your account.

2.4 Logging in post account activation

  
  
After logging into the system for the first time, you’ll be able to access Shareworks directly through Morgan Stanley at Work using SSO or, by using your username, password and a two-factor authentication code.
